ABC/Rick RowellLady Gaga has racked up her 25th cover for V magazine and, like her previous covers for the edgy publication, she’s pushing the boundaries of fashion.
Shot by famed photographer Jean-Paul Goude, Gaga is seen lying in what looks like a bunch of packing material, wearing a black Armani Prive gown and a feathered headdress. She’s biting an illuminated orange neon tube — it kinda looks like a super-long Star Wars light saber — and is holding another one in her gloved hand.
“We tried to turn Gaga into a living doll, a living icon, like the figurines that people collect and put on their mantelpiece, but life-size,” Goude writes on Instagram.
Goude also shot the famous “Break the Internet” cover of Paper magazine featuring Kim Kardashian, but is probably best-known for his photos of ’80s icon Grace Jones, a model, actress and singer.
Gaga first appeared on the cover of V #60. The new issue, V #118, hits newsstands March 7.
