Vegas or bust: Is Kelly Clarkson making plans for this year's ACM Awards?

Carter SmithCould Kelly Clarkson be planning on making a special appearance — or even performing — at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards?

The original American Idol is nominated for Music Event of the Year at the 54th ACMs for “Keeping Score,” her collaboration with Dan + Shay from their current self-titled album.

Responding to the news, Kelly tweeted, “YES!!!!! #Keeping Score,” adding “See ya in Vegas Dan + Shay.”

While we’ll have to keep watching to see exactly what that means, Kelly’s musical hero and former stepmother-in-law, Reba McEntire, is also hosting the Sunday, April 7 show at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Kelly’s not exactly an ACM virgin, by the way. She’s been nominated a total of five times, and won both Single Record and Vocal Event of the Year in 2011 for “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” her duet with Jason Aldean.
