Steve SchofieldSam Smith and Normani are haunted by holograms in the new video for their duet, “Dancing with a Stranger.”
As the two spend time alone in different rooms of an empty house, fleeting images of dancing strangers materialize around them. Normani also gets to show off some impressive dance moves of her own.
The video, shot in London and initially released on Apple Music, represents, “the empty feeling that follows a break-up and the impulse to fill the void with ephemeral connections.”
“Dancing with a Stranger” was released earlier this month and has already racked up over 80 million cumulative streams worldwide.
