BryantThanks to his hits “Mine” and “Beautiful,” Bazzi was one of the breakout stars of 2018. But the singer is now telling his fans to prepare themselves for “a new era” in 2019.
On Instagram, the singer, who hadn’t posted or tweeted since early January, writes, “Hello all – as some of u may have noticed, i took a break from my phone… i realized constantly comparing myself to others was dimming me as a human and not allowing me to utilize the true beauty and creativity that exists inside me.”
He goes on to say, “In that time, i’ve made the most special music yet in my career… know – a new era and experience is soon upon us. i’ve missed u – i love u – i cant wait for u to hear me…X.”
It’s not surprising that Bazzi would express his love for his fans: Last month, he told ABC Radio that developing a relationship with them has been one of the best parts of his success.
“I mean it’s incredible, you create this community of people you love ’cause they share a common interest, which is spreading your music, spreading your word,” he told ABC Radio.
“It’s amazing, it’s like being in a family. I feel like my fans are more my family than my family is actually my family! So I love them to death.”
Bazzi’s debut album, Cosmic, came out in April and has been certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. So far, he’s got several festival dates booked for 2019, including Governors Ball and Coachella.
