The singer set the record straight on Twitter Wednesday, in response to a Daily Mail article claiming she’s with child. She posted a photo of herself with a picture of the most-liked Instagram egg plastered over her belly.
“I’m not ‘Egg-xpecting’ but it’s ‘Egg-celent’ to hear everyone is so ‘Happy For Us’” she wrote. “we’re happy for us too! ‘Egg-cited’ for this next chapter in our lives…. Now , can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg.”
Miley and Liam tied the knot just before Christmas and revealed the news with a series of Instagram photos from the intimate at-home ceremony.
Wednesday night, Miley was one of the few pop performers on the bill for I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell, a star-studded concert held in memory of the late frontman of Soundgarden and Audioslave, who took his own life in May of 2017.
At the event, Miley sang Chris’ solo track “Two Drink Minimum,” and also joined another one of his former bands, Temple of the Dog, for their classic song “Say Hello 2 Heaven.”
