The album came out on January 12, 1999 and to celebrate the milestone, Jive Records has some ‘90s nostalgia planned. They’ve launched a microsite called Britney OS ’99, which is made to look like a Britney fan’s desktop in 1999.
You’re able to interact with a virtual version of Britney – a “Britney Bot” — through a retro messaging app, and when you click elements of the site — like the documents folder or web browser — you’ll uncover free content and a chance to win prizes.
And as if that wasn’t enough Britney nostalgia for you, Twitter is also getting in on the celebration. It’s launched custom Britney emojis that appear when you use the hashtags #BabyOneMoreTime, #BabyOneMoreTime20, #20YearsofBritney, #BritneySpears and #YouDriveMeCrazy.
The emojis will be available for the next month.
Britney, meanwhile, has put her Vegas residency and her new album on hold in the wake of her dad’s recent health crisis.
