Bazzi says singing on “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve” is a “bucket list” item for him

BryantBazzi is just one of the numerous artists who’ll be performing this Monday night on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and he says appearing on the show will fulfill a lifelong goal.

“I said, earlier in the year….’I wanna do the Dick Clark New Year’s…that’s something I definitely wanna do,'” Bazzi tells ABC Radio. “It was on my bucket list for the year, so doing it is really cool!”

Bazzi has very fond memories of watching the show as a kid, so it’s kind of a big deal for him.

“I have a really strong vivid memory…it was our first year after I’d moved to Michigan from New York,” the singer remembers. “I was super-young, like, seven.”

“It was the first snowfall we had on our house. It snowed the same day as New Year’s, and I’ll never forget, our families threw a party and we had the whole block over at our house and we were just watching it,” he adds. “I mean, you just remember the ball drop, and it’s so iconic and it’s so, so nostalgic to even think about it.”

Bazzi will be performing on the Hollywood portion of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, along with his pal Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Dua Lipa and more.

As he closes out 2018, the “Mine” singer has a lot of highlights to look back on, from scoring his first hits, to attending big award shows, to doing his first headlining tour. So what does Bazzi consider his top moment of the year?

“Man, there’s so many special things and so many special moments, I wouldn’t credit it to just, like, one thing,” he says. “I guess maybe my album coming out was really cool.”
