Lady Gaga among “EW”'s Entertainers of the Year; co-star calls her talent “sublime”

Neal Preston/Warner Bros.Lady Gaga and her A Star Is Born partner, Bradley Cooper, are among Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainers of the Year in the magazine’s December 7 issue.  Sam Elliott, who plays the brother of Bradley Cooper’s character in A Star Is Born, has penned an essay for EW celebrating both Cooper and Gaga.

“I’ve been around this business for 50 years, and it’s easy to get jaded,” Elliott writes.  “But making this movie was a transformative experience for me, and that’s because of who I got to work with.”

Elliott goes on to say of Gaga, “I’ve always loved female singers, and she’s fascinating — the nature of her talent is simply sublime.”  Of Gaga and Cooper, he says, “Both of them are completely fearless, and to see them work together is pretty mind-blowing.”

EW’s other Entertainers of the Year include the female stars of Crazy Rich Asians and Black Panther, plus Darren Criss, Nicole Kidman, Ariana Grande, Donald Glover, Sandra Oh, Christine Baranski, rapper Cardi B, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and Queer Eye‘s Fab Five.
