Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicMiley Cyrus is among the many who have lost their homes in the Los Angeles-area Woolsey fire.
The singer took to Twitter to express her sadness but also count her blessings.
“Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community,” Miley tweeted. “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now.”
She added, “My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff’s department!”
Miley then encouraged people to donate to various relief funds.
Miley’s home was located in the Malibu area, which has been ravaged by the Woolsey fire — one of three major fires burning across California. Actor Gerard Butler and singer Neil Young also had their homes destroyed by the blaze.
