Hailee Steinfeld talks to “Cosmo” about love — does she mean Niall?

Kai Z. Feng for CosmopolitanHailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan haven’t actually admitted that they’re dating, though they’ve been photographed smooching in public.  Still, it’s probably safe to assume that it’s Niall whom Hailee is talking about in her new cover story for Cosmopolitan.

The 21-year-old Oscar-nominated actress and singer tells Cosmo, “When you fall in love, you pick up on the tiniest things about yourself. I am one to spread out on the mattress and take up every inch of space. Now I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to make as much room for you as possible.”

She adds, “You start doing things for this person and going out of your way to make them happy. And when you see them happy, it makes you happier. When you love who you are with that person…there’s nothing that compares.”

Hailee describes being deeply in love as “terrifying and amazing and feeling absolutely everything and being slightly afraid,” but adds, “I want to know what that’s like.”

But Hailee may find it hard to spend time with Niall in the coming months.  She’s hosting the MTV EMAs this weekend in Spain, and in December she’s featured in not one but two movies: Bumblebee, the Transformers spin-off in which she stars, and the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse, for which she provides a voice.  Plus, she’ll be playing poet Emily Dickinson in an upcoming Apple TV series.

Missing from her future plans?  A debut album. While Haille’s released one EP and a string of singles — including “Starving,” “Let Me Go” and “Most Girls” — there’s no word on when she’ll release her first full disc.
