Dave Meyers/Republic RecordsEver since Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson broke up, there’s been all kinds of speculation about the two stars — from the real reason why they ended things to the chances of them getting back together. Well, Ariana’s pretty sick of it, and she took to Twitter to complain.
Ari was specifically ticked off about a Radar Online story that claimed she’d “had to tell [Pete] straight up to leave her alone,” because he had “tried contacting her and sending her gifts in hopes that she will change her mind and take him back.” Radar Online also claimed that Ari had “changed the locks” to keep Pete out of the apartment they once shared, and that her family didn’t like him.
Ariana tweeted, “none of this is true. it’d be so helpful if the media and everybody would please just drop it and drop makin stuff up so we can heal and support one another moving forward. it sucks to see this stuff. thank u guys for understanding. much love and appreciation.”
The singer would rather fans focus on her newly announced Sweetener world tour, which kicks off in March. She’s told fans that the tour will support not only her latest album, Sweetener, but also an as-yet unnamed new album that she hints will arrive soon.
While you wait for the tour, you can watch Ariana belt out a number from her favorite Broadway musical, Wicked, when NBC airs A Very Wicked Halloween, celebrating the show’s 15th anniversary, on Monday night.
