She posted a smiling photo of herself on Instagram as she let her fans know she may be offline for a bit.
“Update: taking a social media break. Again,” she captioned the pic. “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit!”
She added, “Just remember – negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.”
One fan commented on the post, “so glad to see u so HAPPY recently,” to which Selena replied, “best I’ve ever been!”
Selena, the most-followed person on Instagram, previously told Elle magazine that she doesn’t even have her password to the app. When she needs to update Instagram, she said, she accesses it from her friend’s phone.
