Atlantic RecordsIt’s been a while since we’ve had new music from Bruno Mars, so the good news is that you can hear him on a new single that just came out. The bad news is that he’s only featured on the song, which is officially by rapper Gucci Mane.
“Wake Up in the Sky,” co-produced by Bruno, will be featured on Gucci’s upcoming album, Evil Genius. On the track, which also features rapper Kodak Black, Bruno sings the hook: “I drink ’til I’m drunk/smoke til I’m high/castle on the hill/wake up in the sky/You can’t tell me I ain’t fly/I know I’m super fly.”
Bruno continues, “The ladies love the luxury/That’s why they all f**k with me/Out here with the moves/like I invented smooth/You can’t tell me I ain’t fly/I know I’m super fly.”
Last week, Bruno kicked off the final leg of his 24K Magic tour, which will wrap up in November in his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii. Among the opening acts, who’ll switch off on various dates, are R&B legend Charlie Wilson, Boyz II Men, Ella Mai, and Ciara.
