Variety reports that about an hour into the movie, the screen went black, reportedly from lightning due to a heavy rainstorm in the Italian city. The blackout lasted about 15 minutes, during which Gaga began blowing kisses to the cheering audience.
When the film resumed, Variety reports, it earned an eight-minute standing ovation. Gaga looked relieved, while director and co-star Bradley Cooper thanked the audience for staying.
Prior to the screening, Gaga hit the carpet wearing a massive pink feathered Valentino Couture gown, with her hair done up in a top knot.
