Atlantic RecordsNot long ago, Spotify unveiled its official Songs of the Summer list, and now it’s YouTube’s turn.
Unlike Spotify, YouTube says that in the U.S., the #1 Song of the Summer is “I Like It,” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin. The #2 YouTube song is “Lucid Dreams” by Juice WRLD, followed by “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5 and Cardi B. Drake‘s “In My Feelings” and Ella Mai‘s “Boo’d Up” round out the top five.
When it comes to global views, however, it’s a different story. On that list “Girls Like You” is #1, followed by a song called “Te Bote” by Caspar, Nio García, Darell, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny and Ozuna. A song by BLACKPINK, a K-pop girl band, is next, followed by “I Like It” at #5. “Lucid Dreams” isn’t even in the top 10.
The eligibility period for YouTube was May 28 through August 25, 2018.
