Ariana Grande's “Sweetener” earns No. 1 spot on 'Billboard' 200 chart

Dave Meyers/Republic Records

Ariana Grande has something sweet to celebrate. The singer’s latest album, Sweetener, has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, earning her a third #1 album.

Released on August 17, Sweetener hits number one with 231,000 units — 127,000 of that comes from traditional album sales. Sweetener is also the second largest sales week for a woman this year, behind Cardi B‘s Invasion of Privacy. The album also earned the title of the largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a woman.

This is the “God Is A Woman” singer’s third album to reach the top of the Billboard 200. Her previous albums My Everything and Yours Truly each earned the top honor, while her last album, Dangerous Woman, debuted at No. 2 back in 2016.

Sweetener ended Travis Scott‘s two-week run at the top of the chart with Astroworld, which now stands in second place.
