Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, gusheed over her daughter’s new fiancé to DNA India.
“Nick is calm and mature. He’s a wonderful person and everyone in the family just loves him,” she said. “He’s so polite and respectful towards elders. What more can a mother want!”
Nick’s parents and Priyanka’s family met for the first time last weekend, during the couple’s engagement celebrations in Mumbai, India.
“I told [Priyanka] that I want to meet Nick’s family,” Madhu recalled, after Priyanka told her she wanted to get engaged, adding, “They are nice people.”
Nick met Chopra’s family back in June, when the two first traveled to India together.
“I always trust Priyanka’s judgment; she’s not impulsive. She gave it a lot of thought and when she decided on something, I was sure it would be good,” her mom said.
She also added that the two haven’t decided on a wedding date yet.
