Columbia RecordsThey promised, and they delivered: Sam Smith and Calvin Harris have dropped their new collab “Promises,” along with a lyric video for the track.
On the disco-influenced late summer jam — written by Sam, Calvin and Jessie Reyez – Sam sings about wanting a steamy hookup that probably won’t lead to anything more.
“I make no promises/ I can’t do golden rings/ But I’ll give you everything/ Magic is in the air/ There ain’t no science here/ So come get your everything,” he sings.
The collaboration follows Calvin’s hit song “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa.
