Watch Katy Perry give young Australian girl a private show at home

ABC/Image Group LAEarlier this week, Katy Perry stopped by the home of Grace, a young Australian fan who couldn’t attend her concert because she’d recently had surgery for a brain tumor. Katy treated Grace and her family to a private concert, autographed merchandise and more. Katy’s now posted video of her visit with the family on Instagram.

As previously reported, Katy’s management arranged the visit after Grace’s plight was brought to their attention via girl’s sister, who’d asked the public to retweet Grace’s story with the hashtag #helpGracemeetKatyPerry.

In the four-part Instagram video, Katy begins by saying, “Today is one of those days where I actually feel like a unicorn. That’s because I get to use my powers for good and meet someone named Grace, who wasn’t able to come to the show.”

She adds, “So I just figured, sine she wasn’t able to come to the show because of her situation, we’d bring the show to her.”

We then see footage of Katy arriving at Grace’s home and meeting her sisters and her mom, admiring the little girl’s bedroom and signing merchandise for them. We learn that Grace’s sister shaved her head in solidarity with her little sis, raising several thousand dollars for their medical expenses. We also see Katy singing an acoustic version of “Firework” just for little Grace.

“That’s the power of Twitter,” Katy says of her appearance. “And the power of beautiful people,” Grace’s mom responds. “So thank you. It just shows how much you [beautiful] are as a person.”
