Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons raises $1 million with LOVELOUD Festival

ABC/Randy HolmesDan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons did “Whatever it Takes” to make his LOVELOUD Festival over the weekend a success.

The event, held Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT, reached its goal of raising $1 million for LGBTQ+ organizations, including the Trevor Project.  Among the artists on the lineup: Imagine Dragons, Zedd, Linkin Park‘s Mark Shinoda, Neon Trees Tyler Glenn, Grace Vanderwaal and more.

Also participating as speakers or performers were Apple CEO Tim Cook, Jussie Smollet, Julianne Hough, Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara and Mary Lambert.

This was the second year Reynolds hosted the LOVELOUD Festival, to support LGBTQ+ youth and encourage acceptance. The festival, and Reynolds’ mission, were documented in the film Believer, which premiered on HBO in June.

Imagine Dragons continue their tour tonight in Wichita, Kansas.
