Justin Bieber reacts to Demi Lovato’s hospitalization: “My prayers go out to her”

Image Group LA/ABCJustin Bieber is the latest celebrity to react to Demi Lovato’s hospitalization for a drug overdose.

When approached by paparazzi in L.A., Justin said in a video posted to TMZ, “It’s very sad. I haven’t talked to her, but my prayers go out to her and her family.”

He added, “I thought she was sober — that’s terrible, right?”

Justin, of course, used to date Demi’s former bestie Selena Gomez.

Demi was rushed to the hospital Tuesday and is currently recovering at Cedars-Sinai medical center.

Her ex, Wilmer Valderrama, was seen visiting her in the hospital Wednesday, according to People. The two dated for six years before announcing their split in 2016, but have remained friends.

Demi was scheduled to perform at the RBCxMusic benefit concert for Kids Help Phone in Toronto on Sunday, along with Jason Mraz. But that concert has been cancelled.

“My sincerest apologies to my fans and to the fans of Demi Lovato,” Jason tweeted. “We wish her good health & recovery.”
