The singer posted a message of gratitude to her fans on Instagram over the weekend, thanking them for making “Delicate” a success.
“Delicate is a song that was written about such a vulnerable time in my life and I can’t express to you how grateful I am that it’s gone #1,” she writes. “You guys astonish me with your support. Guess you could say I’m feeling PRETTY DELICATE about the whole thing I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.”
On Sunday, Taylor also showed her love for Selena Gomez, who was celebrating her 26th birthday. Even though she couldn’t be with Selena in person, she baked her special birthday cake anyway.
The pink-frosted cake had the phrase “Gomez or Go Home” written in icing, along with a heart in the middle with the number 26.
“Will I let distance stop me from celebrating my best friend’s bday?” Swift wrote on her Instagram Story alongside the photo. She answered her own question by referencing the lyrics to Selena’s hit, “Hands To Myself”: “I MEAN I COULD BUT WHY WOULD I WANT 2.”
Taylor played three shows at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while Selena celebrated with other pals in California.
