ABC/Randy HolmesEarly Monday morning, Macklemore shared a special Mother’s Day post that revealed details about the latest addition to his family.
“Colette Koala Haggerty was born on March 16th 2018,” Macklemore wrote on Instagram next to a video of his wife Tricia Davis in the hospital, as well as one showing Tricia, the couple’s two-year-old daughter Sloane Ava Simone, and Macklemore welcoming the new baby.
“To witness the strength, endurance and love it takes to become a mother is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced,” the rapper, born Ben Haggerty, wrote. “Happy Mother’s Day to the women that give us life.”
Macklemore had previously said in an Irish radio interview that he and Tricia had welcomed a daughter “right before St. Patrick’s Day,” but didn’t give any the details at the time.
Sunday night, Macklemore and Kesha will team to perform their hit “Good Old Days” on the Billboard Music Awards, airing 8 p.m. on NBC.
