The Backstreet Boys have a new single called “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” Though it shares a title with an Elton John hit from the ’70s, the song is not a cover. It was written by Stephen Wrabel, aka Wrabel, a singer-songwriter who’s written songs for Kesha, Phillip Phillips, Ellie Goulding, Adam Lambert, Pentatonix and more.
On Twitter, the group wrote, “Excuse the dad joke but… we’re back NEW BACKSTREET BOYS SINGLE ‘DON’T GO BREAKING MY HEART’ OUT MAY 17TH.”
The group recorded the song after the first leg of their successful Las Vegas residency, which picks back up July 25.
The Backstreet Boys’ last big chart success came last year with “God, Your Mama and Me,” their hit collaboration with country duo Florida Georgia Line.
The Boys will perform on ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series July 13.
