At least, that’s according to the British tabloid The Sun, which claims that Katy’s upset that Taylor chose to share the image of the letter she sent her earlier this week, along with an olive branch, online.
As an insider allegedly tells the tabloid, “Katy expected that Taylor would post something about it, but she didn’t expect the actual letter to go on social. The thing is, you can only see part of what Katy wrote and it looks like she’s taking sole responsibility for the entire feud.”
“Without context, it looks like she’s taking the blame for everything and obviously there’s a lot more to it than that,” adds the insider.
The parts of the letter that are visible from the post on Taylor’s Instagram Story show that Katy wrote, “Hello old friend — I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hard feelings between us. I really want to clear the air. I’m deeply sorry for…”
And that’s not the only “bad blood” Katy supposedly has with a fellow female pop star. The Sun further reports that Rihanna, Katy’s former BFF, snubbed the “Teenage Dream” singer by not inviting her to her post-Met Gala after-party on Monday night. According to The Sun, the two singers had a falling out and haven’t seen each other for 18 months.
The two did pose for a photo together but Rihanna looks less than thrilled in it. A source close to Katy told the paper, “It was really uncomfortable…Katy was upset about the whole situation because Rihanna was cold to her and she wasn’t invited to her after-party.”
