Billboard reports the rapper has composed the score for Gotti, the upcoming biopic of infamous mob boss John Gotti, starring John Travolta as Gotti.
Pitbull also wrote and performs an original song for the movie’s end credits, called “Amore.” The song will be released as a single before the film hits theaters.
“It’s a true honor to be involved with this project and working with icon John Travolta on the legendary story of Gotti,” he says in a statement. “By default, we were underdogs in our own right and found ways to survive against all odds.”
Gotti will debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15. It will be released nationwide on June 15, the same day Pitbull performs on ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series.
Right now, Mr. Worldwide is in the middle of his Las Vegas mini-residency, which is at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood & Casino through May 12.
