Camila Cabello reveals OCD diagnosis: “I feel so much more in control of it now”

Cosmopolitan UK / Matthew EadesIn the new issue of Cosmopolitan UK, Camila Cabello reveals that she suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, or O.C.D., which she says is triggered by stress.

“O.C.D. is weird. I laugh about it now. Everybody has different ways of handling stress,” she tells the magazine. “And, for me, if I get really stressed about something, I’ll start to have the same thought over and over again, and no matter how many times I get to the resolution, I feel like something bad is about to happen if I don’t keep thinking about it.”

“I didn’t know what it was and when I found out, and [learned] how to step back from it, it made me feel so much better,” Camila reveals. ” I feel so much more in control of it now. To the point where I’m just like, ‘Aha! OK, this is just my O.C.D.’ I’ll ask my mom a question for the fourth time and she’ll be like, ‘That’s O.C.D. You’ve got to let it go.’”

Camila also talks a bit about her friend Taylor Swift; the two will be hitting the road together next week when Camila starts her gig as the opening act for Taylor’s Reputation stadium tour.

“I love her. We just talk about boys,” Camila reveals. “She loves love, and we love talking about it. It’s fun to just vent and talk and dream.”

You can read the entire interview with Camila in the June 2018 issue of Cosmopolitan UK, on sale Thursday. She’s posted some photos from the spread on

She’s posted some photos from the spread on Instagram; in one, she’s crouching down wearing a tight green skirt.  She hilariously captioned the shot, “In this moment I was thinkin about tuckin it in for the pic because I had a food baby.”
