ABC/Image Group LAShe scored hits with standalone singles like “Bad Liar,” “It Ain’t Me” and “Wolves,” but details on an actual album from Selena Gomez remain elusive. Turns out Selena herself is unsure about when she should release one.
Speaking to PopSugar, Selena says she’s spent two and a half years working on new music, but still doesn’t know when her album will drop. “I don’t know when the right moment is,” she explains. “And I really mean that, not in a way that I’m trying to be mysterious or cool.”
Selena says during the time she’s been working on the record, she’s gone back, changed things and added things. She now feels the album is complete but still isn’t sure about putting it out. She’s waiting to be inspired, she says.
As she tells PopSugar, “It’s hard to have a voice and make sure that your content means something.”
Selena’s last album of original music was 2015’s Revival.
