Credit: Brendan WalterLorde paid tribute to Kanye West at her concert in the rapper’s hometown of Chicago Tuesday night.
During the show, the New Zealand artist performed an a cappella version of West’s “Love Lockdown,” and sang lyrics from his song “Runaway” in the middle of her rendition of “Liability.” Fan-recorded footage of both performances was posted to social media.
The two artists previously collaborated in 2014 on a remix of Lorde’s Hunger Games song “Yellow Flicker Beat.” The “Green Light” singer has also called West her “idol.”
Lorde is currently on tour in support of her sophomore album, Melodrama. The trek continues tonight in Detroit.
