Jade EhlersMAX wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, but Monday morning, he took the stage at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® to perform on Live with Kelly & Ryan’s After Oscar Show.
Max started the number on the theater’s darkened, smoke-filled stage, singing a slowed-down, piano version of the tune. As the lights came up, a gospel choir was revealed to be standing behind him; they joined in on the chorus as fireworks went off behind them. Then gnash, wearing heart-shaped glasses, came onstage to rap his verse.
MAX and the choir sang the end of the song a cappella, with MAX hitting some impressive falsetto notes.
Afterwards, MAX tweeted, “WE JUST PERFORMED ON THE OSCAR STAGE WITH A GOSPEL CHOIR WHAT IS LIFE?!?”
