Camila Cabello says Never Be the Same tour will be a “journey” and a “magical time”

PRNewsfoto/VOGUECamila Cabello will be kicking off her Never Be the Same tour April 9 in Vancouver, Canada.  Rather than being nervous about launching her first-ever solo trek, she’s promising fans a “magical time.”

The singer made the comment during a live Q&A with fans to promote her new YouTube Artist Spotlight, Made In Miami.  When one fan asked Camila if she was nervous, she said, “No…I’m so excited about the show. It’s gonna be more than just me singing all the songs.  It’s gonna be like a journey and I think you guys are really gonna have a magical time.”

Since Camila only has one album’s worth of material to perform, and she’s already said she won’t be singing any Fifth Harmony songs, another fan asked if she’d be performing any unreleased material during the tour.

“I guess that’s something you just gotta see,” she teased.

Right now, Camila’s tour doesn’t include any dates in Mexico, her father’s native country, but she responded enthusiastically to one fan who asked her about performing there.

“I wanna go to Mexico for the tour, I would love that,” she said. “My dream is to go to Mexico and have a mariachi band come up and have my dad sing a song with me. That’s one of my dreams in life.  Also [to] take my mom to Egypt. There’s a lot of dreams!”

And speaking of Mexico, Camila is the cover girl for the new issue of Vogue Mexico.  The interview isn’t online yet, but according to the magazine, she’ll be discussing how her career has skyrocketed thanks to “Havana,” the importance of her Latin roots and her support for the so-called “Dreamers,” or DACA recipients.

Camila turns 21 on Saturday.
