Image Group LA/ABCAfter revealing her new single “No Excuses” will be dropping on March 1, Meghan Trainor posted a special message to fans on Instagram explaining the journey of her new album.
She writes that the year following the release of her last album, Thank You, was “the most challenging year of my life.” She details undergoing two vocal cord surgeries in six months and says, “It was the darkest place I’ve ever experienced, and I was unsure if I’d ever come out of it…but I DID!”
Meghan explains that she began focusing on herself, her health and her happiness, and that’s when her life turned around.
“I found the love of my life, Daryl [Sabara], and I recorded my favorite album that I’ve ever created,” she writes. “I regained control of my life and realized that there were no excuses for me to not work on myself and focus on what mattered most in my life.”
She concludes by thanking her fans for their “endless love and support.”
“Getting to make music for you got me through it,” she writes. “All of the new music coming is for you and because of YOU. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on. I hope you love it as much as I do!”
In previous a social media post, Meghan revealed the “No Excuses” music video would also be released on March 1.
