“Praying” for Kesha: Singer postpones spring tour dates due to knee injury

ABC/Paula LoboHere’s wishing Kesha a speedy recovery. The singer has postponed her March and April tour dates due to a knee injury.

The singer tore her ACL after a fall during her concert in Dubai on February 9. She’ll be undergoing surgery today, with rehabilitation following soon after so that she can be back in good shape to hit the road with Macklemore for their co-headlining tour this summer.

“It’s my biggest joy in life to share my music with my fans all over the world, but I have to follow my doctors orders and undergo surgery so I can get ready to give it my all on my summer tour and beyond,” Kesha says in a statement.

She adds that moving the tour dates is making her “sick with sadness” but she could not simply “will” her injury away.

“I love you all and I’ll work every single day, as hard as I can, to recover and get back on stage as soon as possible,” she continues. “I’m so sorry and sending love always.”

The postponed dates include shows in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan. Ticketholders are encouraged to hold onto their tickets and await further information.
