Dennis LeupoldThe wait is over: Khalid and Normani Kordei‘s highly anticipated song, “Love Lies,” has been released just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The track, which is featured on the soundtrack for the forthcoming film Love, Simon, is the pair’s first creative collaboration and Normani’s first solo endeavor.
Khalid told MTV News in August that he would “love to [collaborate] with Normani.”
Normani responded positively to the article on Twitter, writing, “I freaking love everything about this. @thegreatkhalid you inspire so many individuals including myself. LOVE YOU TONS sweet human.”
In addition, Khalid and Normani, who are friends, appear together in Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” music video as prom king and prom queen.
You can pre-order the Love, Simon soundtrack, which also includes Whitney Houston‘s hit “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and the Jackson 5‘s “Someday at Christmas,” now via the usual digital platforms.
The album arrives everywhere March 16.
