Bruno Mars, Portugal. The Man winners at “Pollstar” touring awards

Image Group LA/ABCBruno Mars was a big winner at Thursday night’s Pollstar awards, which honor those who contribute to the concert industry.

Bruno’s 24K Magic tour was named Pop Tour of the Year and Urban/R&B Tour of the Year at the awards, which are voted on by concert industry professionals.  Bruno’s tour came at #4 on Pollstar’s Year End Top Tours Chart, grossing over $200 million worldwide.  He’s just announced another leg, featuring Cardi B as the opening act.

This year Bruno was number four worldwide on Pollstar’s Year End Top Tours chart, grossing more than $200 million.

Portugal. The Man was named Best New Headliner, despite the fact that, as their manager pointed out at the ceremony, the “Feel It Still” hitmakers have been together for 12 years. 

Enrique Iglesias won for Latin Tour of the Year, while Chris Stapleton won for Country Tour of the Year.  The most prestigious award, Major Tour of the Year, went to Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers. Petty died last year, just days after wrapping the tour.
