ABC/Image Group LASelena Gomez is joining the cast of the new Doctor Dolittle movie starring Robert Downey Jr., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Doctor Dolittle, of course is a doctor who can speak to animals, and Selena will voice one of the animals in the upcoming flick, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle.
Other actors voicing animals include Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland, and actors Emma Thompson and Ralph Fiennes. In addition to Downey, the live-action cast including Michael Sheen and Antonio Banderas.
The movie is set to begin production later this month with a release planned for April 2019.
Downey will be the third film Doctor Dolittle. Rex Harrison played the character in a 1967 film musical, based on the 1920s book series. Eddie Murphy made two Doctor Dolittle movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
