Credit: Brendan WalterLorde didn’t get a chance to perform at the Grammys Sunday night, nor get a chance to speak. But she shared her thoughts about the ceremony in an ad in the New Zealand Herald.
One local Twitter user shared the ad, which features a handwritten note from the singer.
“I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for loving & embracing Melodrama the way you did. My nomination belongs to you. Thank you, also, for believing in female musicians. You set a beautiful precedent!” Lorde writes.
She also shares a couple of thoughts in doodles. “Met Stevie Nicks + almost cried,” she writes, adding, “JAY-Z’s hands are really soft.” She also includes shoutouts to Kendrick Lamar and SZA.
