Halsey, Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus are among the nominees for this year’s GLAAD Media Awards.
The awards recognize and celebrate the fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community in different forms of media. Sam is openly gay, while Halsey identifies as bisexual. Miley identifies as pansexual, meaning she’s attracted to people of any sex or gender identity.
The three each scored a nod in the Outstanding Music Artist category.
GLAAD is also honoring JAY-Z’s song and music video “Smile” with a special recognition award; the song is about how Jay’s mother Gloria Carter came out as a lesbian.
Other nominees this year include Call Me By Your Name, The Shape of Water, The Handmaid’s Tale, This Is Us and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The GLAAD Media Award ceremonies take place in Los Angeles on April 12 and in New York on May 5.
