Sam Smith extends tour to Australia and New Zealand

Ruven AfanadorIn April of 2015, Sam Smith was forced to cut his tour of Australia and New Zealand short when he developed a vocal cord hemorrhage that required surgery.  Now, he’s heading back Down Under for a new set of dates on his Thrill of It All World Tour.

Sam has announced dates that will start November 2 in Auckland, New Zealand and wrap up November 20 in Perth, Australia.  Tickets go on sale January 22.

Meanwhile, Sam will give his first live performance of 2018 Tuesday at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia, but that’s a one-off date.  The actual Thrill of It All tour gets underway in March, and will visit the U.K. and Europe before arriving in North America in June.

On January 30, Sam will head to New York City for the taping of the CBS special Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A Grammy Salute.  In addition to Elton himself, the special will feature performances from the likes of Coldplay’s Chris Martin, John Legend, Miley Cyrus and country stars like Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert.
