ABC/Paula LoboBoy band PRETTYMUCH made their Good Morning America debut Monday, and not only was the group hyped about their performance, but one member in particular was thrilled to meet another guest on the show: Thor star Chris Hemsworth.
“He looked at me — I was standing in the doorway,” Austin Porter told ABC Radio. “He’s like, ‘Nice song!’ I was like, ‘Thank you…I hope you fix [your hammer], Mjölnir,’ and he’s like ‘Hopefully, one day,’ and I was like ‘Yeah!'”
Austin’s comment references the most recent Thor movie, Thor: Ragnorok, in which the Thunder God’s enchanted hammer Mjölnir is destroyed. Austin laughs, “I’m a big Marvel fan, I wanted to tell him something related to Thor.”
On GMA, PRETTYMUCH sang their new single “No More,” and the guys say everyone was surprisingly into the performance.
“That was crazy!” group member Brandon Arreaga told ABC Radio. “The people in the room were giving us so much energy and…it felt really tight. They got our logos everywhere, it was sick!”
“I also felt like…they were just like astonished, they were like in awe,” Austin added. “So it was really cool.” Group member Nick Mara chimed in, “The environment was just dope, everyone was clapping and cheering us on.”
You can see the guys on their PRETTYMUCH EVERYWHERE tour, which runs through January 28 in L.A. Each tour stop is, of course, full of screaming, hyperventilating female fans, so how do they deal with that?
“Just give ’em hugs, show ’em love, thank ’em for being great fans,” explained Nick. Group member Zion Kuwonu added, “Tell ’em everything’s gonna be O.K. and breathe! Just breathe!
“If anything, we just wanna let them know that they’re just as important to us as we are to them,” Brandon notes. “They’re everything to us.”
