The singer was named one of the 10 best-mannered people of 2017 by the National League of Junior Cotillions, an organization that trains young people in etiquette and social skills.
Selena placed seventh on the annual list “for being a strong role model for fans while growing up in the public spotlight.”
Others on the list include Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman at number two, soccer star David Beckham at number six, country star Thomas Rhett at number eight and Meghan Markle at number 10. The number one spot this year goes to golfer Rickie Fowler.
“The selections are made based on each person’s commitment to honor, dignity, and mannerly conduct,” says NLJC President Charles Winters. “We feel these ten individuals have distinguished themselves through excellence of character and conduct and applaud them for their contributions to society.”
