Camila Cabello won't dish the dirt on Fifth Harmony: “I don't like to ruin the dream”

Getty Images via ABCCamila Cabello is not about to dish any behind-the-scenes dirt from her time with Fifth Harmony.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Camila says she won’t comment on the drama surrounding her departure from the group because she’s sensitive to fans’ feelings.

“A lot of my fans were, or are, fans of the group,” she says. “I don’t like to ruin the dream.”

She adds, “They believed in something that’s beautiful. I’m sure with One Direction, too, nobody really saw behind the scenes. You just see the dream.”

While Camila says that the first part of last year was tough for her, things improved, and that changed the course of her debut solo album.

“At first I thought it was gonna be, like, a sad-song album,” she says. “Then the more I got into the year, it just was better. I felt way happier. I feel that it has a good balance of the emo and the happy.”

The album, called Camila, comes out January 12.
