ABC/Randy HolmesWhat’s better than free Starbucks? How about drinking your free Starbucks while Nick Jonas serenades you in person? Believe it or not, some lucky fans in Tampa, FL got to experience just that.
Nick tweeted Saturday that he was heading to a local Starbucks “for a little holiday surprise.” When he arrived, according to TampaBay.com, screaming fans were there to greet him. Not only did Nick play a few acoustic tunes, but he bought everyone free coffee…and handed out gift cards to boot.
Nick happened to be in town for a concert, but the appearance was part of a promotion for Starbucks’ #GiveGood campaign and Ember Technologies, which makes drinkware.
“I’ve been working with Ember for a while now,” Nick, who brought an Ember mug with him, was quoted as saying. “I’m a big fan of what they do myself. I think you would be too, if you’re looking for a holiday gift.”
Songs Nick performed included “Home,” the tune from the animated movie Ferdinand, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination last week.
