Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Cardi B among “People” mag's “25 Most Intriguing People of 2017”

Ari and RiRi both made People magazine’s list of the “25 Most Intriguing People of 2017.”  Ariana was included because of her actions following the terrorist attack that killed 22 of her fans at her concert in Manchester, U.K.

Declaring that “calling off [the tour] and going home was not an option,” Ari returned to Manchester a few weeks later to host a star-studded benefit concert for the victims, and then continued on with her tour.

Rihanna made the list because of her Fenty Beauty line, which was designed to work for “women of all shades.”  The line, which includes 40 different colors of foundation, was an instant hit, selling out in many locations.  It also made TIME magazine’s list of the 25 Best Inventions of 2017.

The third pop star on People’s list is Cardi B, the exotic dancer-turned-reality-star-turned chart-topping rapper who broke out with her hit “Bodak Yellow.”  She made history as the first female rapper to top the chart — without the help of any other artist — since Lauryn Hill in 1998.  She also knocked Taylor Swift out of the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Others on People’s list include Bruce Springsteen, Meghan Markle, The Property Brothers, Jordan Peele, Nicole Kidman, Colin Kaepernick, Gal Gadot and Blake Shelton.
