ABC/Image Group LAWith four kids to buy presents for this holiday season, Kelly Clarkson was hoping for a little help with suggestions. But she says when she asked her three-year-old daughter River Rose what she wanted Santa to bring her, she got more than she bargained for.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kelly says, “Her and my niece wrote Santa, we got them this cute little envelope thing from Target, you zip it up and send it to the North Pole,” she explains. “My daughter, she obviously can’t write yet, so she just colored on it. But I asked her, ‘Well, what do you want me to write and I’ll ask Santa for you?'”
“She said, ‘Boobies and a tail like Little Mermaid,'” Kelly says. “You know, like, the shells that [Ariel] wears [on her chest]? She said that and I was like, ‘Oh my God. How am I going to get that?’ Yeah, that’s what my daughter asked Santa Claus for.”
Kelly is currently out with a festive song called “Christmas Eve,” but as far as releasing a second Christmas album — a follow-up to her 2013 disc Wrapped in Red — she says it’d have to be different.
“Since I’ve already done a full Christmas album, it’d be fun to pick some of my favorite singers and maybe do, like, a duet thing,” she says. “That would be cool! But after doing a classic Christmas album, I feel like it’d be hard to beat.”
