Pink shares funny stories and gets the party started with James Corden on “Carpool Karaoke”

Terence Patrick ©2017 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights ReservedPink joined James Corden on Tuesday night’s The Late Late Show for the latest edition of “Carpool Karaoke.”

Pink and James got down to business with “What About Us?” The song went long as James had to pull over to learn Pink’s signature move for the song, which included jazz hands and face “drama.”

But one of the highlights of the night was the singer’s story about her schoolgirl crush on singer Jon Bon Jovi and how he broke her heart.

When she was only eight, Pink said, she heard on the radio that Jon married his high school sweetheart Dorothea. “I almost threw up in my mouth,” Pink said. “I ripped his posters off the wall and threw them out and didn’t come out of my room for days. I was devastated. It was the first time someone ever broke my heart.”

But Jon tried to make it up to her. She told James, “He sent me a flower arrangement, with a pair of leather pants – the flower basket was, like, lifesize – and there was a pair of leather pants with a note that said, ‘Now you can get finally into my pants!’”

She added that her husband Cary Hart threw them out.

James and Pink also performed “Get This Party Started” and her latest single, “Beautiful Trauma,” as they drove through Los Angeles. Pink told a story about touring with *NSync and Joey Fatone taking her on a “friendly date.”

To which James replied, “I’m going to go in big and say I don’t think Joey thought he was in the friend zone but to the end zone.”

They closed the show with a duet of “Raise Your Glass.”

Pink’s new album, Beautiful Trauma, is out now.

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs weeknights at 12:35 on CBS.
