According to People, the reason for the split was distance.
“She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship,” a source tells the mag, using The Weeknd’s birth name. “It’s been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn’t easy on them.”
The insider adds that Selena “always made an effort” to attend his shows, but they just grew apart. “It’s over for now, but they’re still in touch,” the source says.
In recent days, Selena has been spotted with her ex, Justin Bieber. Over the weekend, the two were seen having breakfast together at a café just outside of Los Angeles. But the source tells People Selena is not back together with Justin.
