Donato Sardella/Getty Images for InStyleAfter old pals Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez had a sweet exchange on Instagram last week, the two reunited in person at the InStyle Awards on Monday.
Selena, dressed in a slinky black mini-dress, and Demi, wearing a lilac silk gown, posed for photos together.
Selena was on hand to present an award, while Demi was receiving the Advocate Award.
The two first met on Barney and Friends when they were kids and went on to become Disney Channel contemporaries. They grew apart in recent years, but last week Selena praised Demi’s YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated.
“This was beautiful,” she wrote on Demi’s Instagram. “I’m so happy for you. You always continue to [be] bold and real. I wish more people were like you…Love you”
Demi responded, “Thank you so much, this means the world to me and more. Love you too.”
Simply Complicated generated over seven million views in its first week, with fans from 195 countries tuning in.
Meanwhile, in other Selena news, she released the cover art for her upcoming collab with Marshmello. The track, called “Wolves,” drops Wednesday.
