Trae Patton/NBCOn tonight’s episode of The Voice, Adam Levine enlists Joe Jonas — who got engaged over the weekend to Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner — as his team’s adviser. He says working with the DNCE frontman was “a blast.”
“He’s awesome, man, and I love his new band,” Adam says of Joe. “He’s just a cool dude. I’ve just kind of known him kind of an acquaintance, but I’ve always known I have a lot in common with him.”
Joe says his admiration of Adam made him want to be an adviser on The Voice.
“I have a lot respect for Adam and his music career and watching the show and seeing how he gives advice, the singers he picks, it’s kind of been right down my alley,” he says. “I think I can give a lot to advising.”
He adds, “I can sit there with these young hopeful singers, some of which probably a little older than me, that have been doing this for a while and maybe that haven’t gotten the right advice or the right shot. And if I can help in any way, it’s an honor.”
According to Adam, Joe’s experience in the business combined with his young age really benefited him as an adviser.
“He’s great and was giving the kids great advice and everyone was really stoked to see him,” Adam says. “It was a blast.”
The Voice airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
