Ruven AfanadorSam Smith is getting his own BBC special.

BBC Music reports the singer will be taking the stage for Sam Smith at the BBC, where he’ll perform tracks from his upcoming new album, as well as some older hits. He’ll be accompanied by his band and the BBC Concert Orchestra.

In addition to his performance, Sam will also chat with radio personality Fearne Cotton about his life, music and career.

“I’m so honored and thankful to the BBC for giving me this opportunity to showcase some of my new music from my album in this amazing, intimate setting,” Sam says in a statement.

He adds, “I can’t wait to sing some old songs and have a big old sing along with everyone.”

The hour-long special will be filmed October 17 in Hertfordshire, England and is set to air sometime in November.

The BBC has previously hosted similar specials for Adele, Michael Buble and Harry Styles. Harry’s special also airs next month.

In other Sam Smith news, he may be good at goodbyes but it looks like he’s saying hello to a new romance. TMZ has photos of the singer showing some major PDA with 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn in New York City. The two were spotted kissing and holding hands in Greenwich Village.
